Navigating Your Colorado Roof Insurance Claim
18 years working with every major Colorado carrier. We know what adjusters look for, what they miss, and how to get your claim paid fairly.
How We Navigate Your Claim
Free Inspection & Documentation
We inspect your property and produce a comprehensive damage report before you contact your carrier.
File Your Claim
You call your insurance company to open the claim. We provide guidance on exactly what to say and what documents to have ready.
Adjuster Inspection
Your carrier sends an adjuster. A Hilltop project manager attends every adjuster inspection with our clients, with our documentation in hand.
Review the Estimate
We review the adjuster's scope with you. If items are missed or undervalued, we submit a supplemental request with supporting documentation.
Approve & Schedule
Once scope is agreed upon, you sign off and we schedule installation. We communicate with the carrier throughout.
Final Documentation
After installation, we provide the certificate of completion your carrier needs to release any recoverable depreciation.

Insurance Claims FAQ
We can't file on your behalf, but we guide you through every step. We tell you exactly what information your carrier needs, attend the adjuster inspection, and handle all supplement documentation. Most homeowners find the process much less stressful with us involved.
A supplement is a request to add line items to your insurance estimate that were missed or undervalued. Common supplements include O&P (overhead and profit for general contractor involvement), code upgrade items, additional tearoff layers, and accessories like ice and water shield. Supplementing is a normal and legal part of the claim process.
Yes — carriers can and do deny claims. Common reasons include claims outside the policy window, disputes over cause of damage, or claims below the deductible. If your carrier denies or undervalues your claim, we can walk you through your options.
ACV (Actual Cash Value) pays the depreciated value. RCV (Replacement Cost Value) pays full replacement. Most policies start at ACV and release recoverable depreciation once the work is complete and documented. Check your policy's declarations page.
Homeowners are responsible for their insurance deductible and the cost of any upgrades they choose to add beyond what the insurance claim covers. All approved claim funds are applied directly to the scope of work — there are no additional fees for claim management or adjuster attendance. That is part of the service we provide.
